GAIA-BT announced that it entered into a definitive technology transfer agreement with the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) on October 7, 2026, securing an exclusive license to HAETAE and HiRecon, two complementary technologies for interpreting the epigenome.

HAETAE is a computational model for epigenome interpretation, while HiRecon enables the deconvolution of epigenomic data at single-cell resolution. Together, these technologies allow GAIA-BT to characterize the regulatory mechanisms governing gene expression and examine how those mechanisms vary across tissues and cell types in patients carrying the same genetic variant. These insights provide a foundation for elucidating the biological drivers of differences in disease onset and therapeutic response.

The technologies will underpin the capabilities of GAIA-Gould, the agent responsible for patient omics analysis and epigenome interpretation within GAIA-Phil™, GAIA-BT’s multi-agent drug-development platform. By integrating HAETAE and HiRecon, GAIA-Gould will support more precise stratification of patients by their likelihood of responding to treatment.
